- FEMA APPROVES RESIDENTS OF MENOMINEE COUNTY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM (NFIP). Any resident who resides on a flood plain within Menominee County may acquire flood insurance through FEMA.
- For single-family dwellings, the building coverage limit is $35,000 and contents coverage up to $10,000.
- Renters may also protect their belongings by purchasing contents coverage.
- For commercial properties, the buildng and contents coverage limits are both $100,000.
- Higher limits of coverage will be available after the initial emergency phase.

- Shawano-Menominee Counties Community Health Survey The Shawano-Menominee Healthy Communities (SMHC) is a community health coalition working to improve the lives of the people in the two counties. As part of this year’s Community Health Assessment process, we are looking for members of the communities (Shawano/Menominee Counties) to help paint the current picture of our local community, through your own experiences and responses by completing this assessment.
