- Radon is an odorless and invisible radioactive gas naturally released from rocks, soil, and water. Radon can get trapped inside homes and buildings, and build up in the air. Over time, breathing in high levels of radon can cause lung cancer.
Anyone can order kits directly from Marathon County (they are our regional Radon Information Center) with no shipping fees.

- NAMI Wolf River Region - The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. - Shawano-Menominee Counties Community Health Survey The Shawano-Menominee Healthy Communities (SMHC) is a community health coalition working to improve the lives of the people in the two counties. As part of this year’s Community Health Assessment process, we are looking for members of the communities (Shawano/Menominee Counties) to help paint the current picture of our local community, through your own experiences and responses by completing this assessment.
