The Menominee County Land Conservation/Forestry/Zoning Department is available to help citizens in many ways.
Conservation questions or concerns can be addressed in many areas such as:
- erosion controls
- water quality
- habitat management
- well water quality and well abandonment
- invasive species
- vegetated buffers/planting guides
- oak wilt prevention and controls
- invasive pests and diseases advice
- hazard tree identification
- species selection
- planting advice
Solid waste and recycling programs are also handled by the department. This includes:
- public education
- Ordinance enforcement
- helping landowners obtain carts and curbside service
